Blamers Anonymous: Accepting Fallibility in Ourselves and Others
/Blame blocks us from connecting with others. This RSA short film features Brené Brown, one of the foremost researchers on shame and emotional vulnerability. Ms. Brown describes blame as having an inverse relationship with accountability, which is a vulnerable process. Productive conflicts require that we are open to acknowledging our own fallibility and to accepting the fallibility in others. When we blame others, we deny our imperfection and create an environment that prevents others from feeling safe enough to acknowledge their imperfection. This film helps us be more cognizant of our choice.
